- Maintain accurate and detailed records of offender progress and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with offenders, their families, and other stakeholders to promote understanding and cooperation.
- Identify and address any potential risks or violations of probation.
- Collaborate with other agencies and resources to provide necessary services for offenders.
- Develop and implement individualized case plans for each offender.
- Conduct regular meetings and reviews with offenders to assess progress and address any challenges.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for other probation officers.
- Stay informed on current laws, policies, and procedures related to probation and correctional services.
- Handle any emergency situations or crisis incidents that may arise.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance job performance.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all job duties.
- Represent the Department of Corrections in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Procedures Related To Probation And Parole.
Bachelor's Degree In Criminal Justice, Psychology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Correctional Probation Officer.
Completion Of A Certified Training Program For Probation Officers.
