Job Description

As a Community Assistance Consultant, you will play a vital role in connecting individuals and families with the resources and assistance they need to thrive. You will serve as a liaison between the community and various state agencies, and work closely with other professionals to develop and implement effective solutions. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of community needs and possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.   1. Act as a liaison between the community and state agencies to identify and address community needs.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, social service agencies, and government agencies.
  3. Conduct outreach and engage with community members to understand their needs and concerns.
  4. Collaborate with other professionals to design and implement effective solutions to community issues.
  5. Provide guidance and support to individuals and families seeking assistance from state agencies.
  6. Stay up-to-date on state and federal policies and programs that may impact the community.
  7. Evaluate and assess community programs and services to ensure they are meeting the needs of the community.
  8. Communicate and present information to community groups and stakeholders.
  9. Develop and implement strategies to improve access to resources and services for underrepresented and marginalized communities.
  10. Maintain accurate records and documentation of community interactions and services provided.
  11. Participate in team meetings and provide input on community outreach and engagement strategies.
  12. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive information.
  13. Continuously seek ways to improve and enhance community assistance services.
  14. Represent the State of Florida in a professional and positive manner at all times.
  15. Provide excellent customer service and take a client-centered approach in all interactions with community members.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Community Outreach, Volunteer Management, Or Social Service Provision.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Community Assistance Programs.

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Diverse Populations.

  • Strong Organizational And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Prioritize Tasks And Meet Deadlines.
