  1. Perform routine maintenance tasks on buildings and facilities across the state of Connecticut.
  2. Conduct inspections and identify any repairs or issues that need to be addressed.
  3. Perform minor repairs and troubleshoot any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems.
  4. Keep accurate records of all maintenance work performed.
  5. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement maintenance plans.
  6. Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed while performing maintenance tasks.
  7. Keep the exterior of buildings and facilities clean and well-maintained.
  8. Monitor and maintain the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

  10. Provide excellent customer service to the public when working in public spaces.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve maintenance processes and procedures.
  12. Adhere to all state regulations and guidelines related to maintenance work.
  13. Report any major maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  14. Stay informed about new technologies and techniques in maintenance and implement them when appropriate.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the State of Connecticut.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Skilled Maintainer At State Of Connecticut Must Have A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education To Ensure They Have The Necessary Basic Knowledge And Skills For The Job.

  • Relevant Experience: Candidates For The Skilled Maintainer Position Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Maintenance Role, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.
