- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Develop treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals, and regularly monitor and adjust as needed.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs and make appropriate referrals.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, in compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other counselors and professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective treatment for clients.
- Stay current with best practices and industry standards in the field of counseling.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards clients, and actively listen to their concerns and challenges.
- Communicate and work closely with clients' families, caregivers, and other support systems.
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations.
- Participate in clinical supervision and professional development activities.
- Act as an advocate for clients and promote mental health awareness and destigmatization.
- Comply with all ethical and legal standards of the counseling profession.
- Represent the State of Connecticut in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and services to clients.
- Maintain a positive and respectful work environment, and contribute to a strong and cohesive team dynamic.
Master's Degree In Counseling, Psychology, Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Current State License To Practice As A Professional Counselor In Connecticut.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Providing Counseling Services To Individuals, Families, Or Groups.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Counseling Techniques And Ability To Apply Them In Practice.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Establish Trust With Clients.
