7. Demonstrate empathy and understanding towards clients, and actively listen to their concerns and challenges.
8. Communicate and work closely with clients' families, caregivers, and other support systems.
9. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations.
10. Participate in clinical supervision and professional development activities.
11. Act as an advocate for clients and promote mental health awareness and destigmatization.
12. Comply with all ethical and legal standards of the counseling profession.
13. Represent the State of Connecticut in a professional and positive manner at all times.
14. Collaborate with community organizations and resources to provide additional support and services to clients.
15. Maintain a positive and respectful work environment, and contribute to a strong and cohesive team dynamic.
