  1. Oversee and lead geotechnical engineering projects for the State of Connecticut.
  2. Utilize expert knowledge and skills in geotechnical engineering to provide guidance and direction to team members.
  3. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with state regulations and standards.
  4. Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of site conditions, soil properties, and other factors to determine appropriate engineering solutions.
  5. Provide technical support and expertise to team members and other departments as needed.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
  7. Monitor and assess project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful completion.
  8. Stay updated on new developments and advancements in the field of geotechnical engineering and apply them to projects when appropriate.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members, superiors, and other stakeholders to provide updates, present findings, and address any concerns.
  10. Lead and mentor junior engineers to ensure their professional growth and development.
  11. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate and integrate geotechnical engineering efforts.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  13. Represent the State of Connecticut in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Professional Engineer (Pe) License In The State Of Connecticut.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Geotechnical Engineering, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Or Management Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Geotechnical Principles And Practices, Including Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, And Foundation Design.

  • Excellent Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Lead And Oversee Multiple Geotechnical Engineering Projects Simultaneously.
