Welcome to the State of Connecticut! We are seeking a qualified and experienced individual to join our team as Lead Custodian. As a Lead Custodian, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our employees and visitors. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills to oversee our custodial staff and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are met.   1. Oversee the custodial staff and ensure they are performing their duties effectively and efficiently.
  2. Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas of the facility.
  3. Train and mentor new custodial staff to ensure they are familiar with company policies and procedures.
  4. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or cleanliness issues.
  5. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and ensure they are properly stocked and maintained.
  6. Communicate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and address any specific cleaning needs or concerns.
  7. Monitor and maintain the budget for custodial supplies and equipment.
  8. Respond to and address any custodial-related complaints or concerns from employees or visitors.
  9. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  10. Collaborate with building maintenance staff to address any building repairs or maintenance needs.
  11. Maintain accurate records and reports related to custodial duties and staff performance.
  12. Stay updated on industry best practices and implement new techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of custodial operations.
  13. Lead by example and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Custodial Or Janitorial Services, With At Least 1 Year In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role.

  • Knowledge Of Proper Cleaning Techniques, Equipment, And Products, Including Experience With Floor Care, Carpet Cleaning, And Restroom Sanitation.

  • Ability To Create And Implement Cleaning Schedules And Assign Tasks To Custodial Staff.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Both Staff And Management.

  • Familiarity With Safety Protocols And Regulations Related To Custodial Work, Including Knowledge Of Osha Standards And Hazardous Materials Handling.
