- Design, develop, and maintain the technological infrastructure for the State of Connecticut, ensuring its stability, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement DevOps best practices and processes.
- Automate manual processes and tasks to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, providing timely resolutions and recommendations for preventative measures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in DevOps, making recommendations for improvements to current systems.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as security protocols.
- Participate in planning and executing technology projects, working closely with project managers and other team members.
- Document processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments.
- Continuously assess and improve the technological infrastructure to support the evolving needs of the organization.
- Collaborate with vendors and external partners to integrate new technologies into the infrastructure.
- Mentor and train junior team members on DevOps principles and processes.
- Participate in on-call rotation to address any critical system issues outside of regular business hours.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
- Represent the State of Connecticut as a technical expert in conferences, workshops, and other events.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In A Devops Role.
Proficiency In At Least One Scripting Language (E.g. Python, Bash, Ruby).
Strong Understanding Of Cloud Computing Technologies And Platforms (E.g. Aws, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience With Configuration Management Tools (E.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet) And Containerization (E.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
