  1. Oversee and manage the technology operations and services for educational institutions in the state of Connecticut.
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans for the use of technology in education, keeping in mind the unique needs of each campus.
  3. Collaborate with campus administrators and IT staff to identify and address technology needs and challenges.
  4. Ensure that technology services and resources are aligned with the goals and objectives of the educational institutions.
  5. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology to recommend and implement innovative solutions for the improvement of the learning experience.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with technology vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality and cost-effective services.
  7. Lead a team of IT professionals and provide guidance, mentorship, and support to promote their professional development.
  8. Oversee the budget for technology operations, including equipment, software, and personnel expenses.
  9. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain the security and integrity of the technology systems and data.
  10. Serve as a liaison between the Department of Information Technology and the educational institutions, providing regular communication and updates on technology initiatives and projects.
  11. Provide technical support and training to faculty, staff, and students on the use of technology resources.
  12. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technology services and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and user satisfaction.
  13. Collaborate with other departments within the Department of Information Technology to ensure alignment and consistency in technology operations and services.
  14. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the department.
  15. Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations related to technology and education.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role In An It Department Or Organization.

  • Strong Understanding Of Network Infrastructure, Security Protocols, And Data Management.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing It Projects And Initiatives.

  • Experience Working In A Higher Education Setting And Knowledge Of Campus-Specific Technology Needs And Challenges.
