Job Description

  1. Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and portion sizes.
  2. Assist the Head Cook in planning menus and ordering necessary ingredients.
  3. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  4. Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  5. Collaborate with the Head Cook and other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth and coordinated workflow.
  6. Follow dietary restrictions and special requests when preparing meals for residents.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies.
  8. Assist with the setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after meal service.
  9. Communicate effectively with other staff members and residents to ensure a positive dining experience.
  10. Continuously strive to improve cooking techniques and recipes to meet the nutritional needs and preferences of residents.
  11. Adhere to all state and federal regulations and guidelines related to food preparation and service.
  12. Attend training and education sessions to stay updated on food safety and sanitation practices.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with residents and team members.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Cook or supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Culinary Education Or Experience: A Degree Or Certification In Culinary Arts Or Previous Experience Working As A Cook Is Essential For This Role.

  • Knowledge Of Food Safety And Sanitation: An Understanding Of Proper Food Handling, Storage, And Preparation Techniques Is Necessary To Ensure The Safety And Health Of Customers.

  • Ability To Follow Recipes: The Ability To Accurately Follow Recipes And Measure Ingredients Is Crucial For Maintaining Consistency And Quality In Food Preparation.
