  1. Conduct administrative hearings in a fair and impartial manner, ensuring that all parties involved have the opportunity to present their case effectively.
  2. Review and analyze legal documents and evidence to determine the appropriate course of action for each case.
  3. Maintain accurate and organized records of all administrative hearings, decisions, and related documents.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the administrative hearings team to ensure consistency and adherence to state laws and regulations.
  5. Provide guidance and support to individuals participating in administrative hearings, including explaining procedures and answering questions.
  6. Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and procedures related to administrative hearings in order to effectively perform job duties.
  7. Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with all parties involved in administrative hearings, including judges, attorneys, and witnesses.
  8. Conduct research and gather information to assist in the preparation of cases and decisions.
  9. Draft administrative hearing decisions and orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to administrative hearings.
  11. Work closely with the administrative hearings supervisor to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the administrative hearings process.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
  13. Attend trainings and workshops to further develop knowledge and skills related to administrative hearings.
  14. Represent the state of Connecticut in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Law, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Administrative Hearings Or A Similar Legal Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations, Laws, And Procedures Related To Administrative Hearings.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Stakeholders And Individuals From Diverse Backgrounds.
