- Maintain and troubleshoot the state's telecommunications systems to ensure that they are operating at optimal levels.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on systems to identify and address any potential issues.
- Respond to service calls and resolve problems with communication equipment and systems in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, and upgrade telecommunications equipment and software as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to implement new technology solutions and improve existing systems.
- Document and track all work completed, including repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of telecommunications systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in telecommunications technology and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to telecommunications systems.
- Provide training and support to end-users on how to use telecommunications equipment and systems.
- Maintain inventory of all telecommunications equipment and supplies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with colleagues and end-users.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures when working on or around telecommunication equipment.
A Bachelor's Degree In Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Or A Related Field.
At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Installing, Maintaining, And Troubleshooting Telecommunications Systems.
Strong Knowledge Of Current And Emerging Telecommunications Technologies And Systems.
Familiarity With State And Federal Regulations And Standards Related To Telecommunications.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
