  1. Provide administrative support to various departments within the State of California.
  2. Assist with organizing and maintaining office files and records.
  3. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records.
  4. Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  5. Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  6. Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments.
  7. Prepare and distribute correspondence and other documents as needed.
  8. Conduct research and gather information as assigned.
  9. Collaborate with team members to complete projects and tasks in a timely manner.
  10. Follow all state policies and procedures while performing job duties.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  12. Attend training and development sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

  14. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions.
  15. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
  16. Display a positive and professional attitude when interacting with colleagues and the public.
  17. Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

  • Currently Enrolled In A College Or University: To Be Considered For A Student Assistant Job At State Of California, An Applicant Must Be Currently Enrolled In A College Or University And Actively Pursuing A Degree.

  • Strong Academic Record: The Ideal Candidate For A Student Assistant Job Should Have A Strong Academic Record, With A Minimum Gpa Of 3.0. This Demonstrates The Ability To Balance Academic And Work Responsibilities.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Student Assistant, One Will Be Expected To Communicate With Various Stakeholders, Including Other Students, Faculty, And Staff. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential.
