- Provide expert underwriting support to the specialty insurance team.
- Review and analyze insurance applications and documents to determine risk and eligibility.
- Communicate with clients and brokers to gather necessary information and clarify underwriting guidelines.
- Collaborate with senior underwriters to make sound decisions and recommendations on risk assessment and coverage.
- Assist in developing and maintaining underwriting guidelines and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure compliance.
- Train and mentor junior underwriters in underwriting best practices and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze underwriting performance data to identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with other departments such as claims and marketing to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Handle complex and escalated underwriting issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and organized underwriting records and documentation.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.

Excellent Analytical And Decision-Making Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Insurance, Risk Management, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Underwriting, Preferably In A Specialty Operations Setting.
Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Insurance Laws And Regulations.
Experience With Managing And Leading A Team Of Underwriters And Other Insurance Professionals.
