  1. Accurate and Timely Tax Filing: The Senior Tax Compliance Representative will be responsible for ensuring that all state taxes are filed accurately and in a timely manner. This includes reviewing tax returns, verifying information, and making any necessary corrections.
  2. Uphold Tax Laws and Regulations: The Senior Tax Compliance Representative will be responsible for upholding the state's tax laws and regulations. This includes staying up-to-date with any changes in tax laws and ensuring that taxpayers are in compliance.
  3. Maintain Taxpayer Compliance: It will be the responsibility of the Senior Tax Compliance Representative to ensure that all taxpayers are in compliance with state tax laws. This includes conducting audits, issuing penalties for non-compliance, and providing guidance to taxpayers on how to remain compliant.
  4. Collect Tax Revenue: The Senior Tax Compliance Representative will play a critical role in ensuring that all tax revenue is collected by monitoring and tracking tax payments. This includes following up on delinquent taxes and taking appropriate actions to collect outstanding payments.
  5. Provide Exceptional Customer Service: As a representative of the State of California, the Senior Tax Compliance Representative will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to taxpayers. Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Tax Compliance And Reporting, Preferably In A Government Agency Or Large Organization.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Federal And State Tax Laws And Regulations, Including Experience With Tax Filing Software And Systems.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Complex Tax Codes And Identify Discrepancies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Interact With Taxpayers, Colleagues, And Government Officials.
