  1. Conduct research and gather data on various environmental issues and concerns in the State of California.
  2. Analyze data and provide expert recommendations and guidance to support environmental conservation initiatives.
  3. Keep up-to-date with current environmental policies and regulations and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  4. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, industry experts, and community organizations, to develop and implement environmental programs and initiatives.
  5. Prepare reports and presentations on research findings, data analysis, and proposed solutions.
  6. Lead and/or participate in field work and data collection activities.
  7. Train and mentor junior environmental scientists on research methods, data analysis, and environmental regulations.
  8. Identify potential environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  9. Provide expert testimony and advice to government officials and policymakers on environmental issues.
  10. Represent the State of California at conferences, meetings, and other events related to environmental conservation.
  11. Stay informed about new technologies and innovations in the field of environmental science and recommend their implementation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Develop and manage budgets for environmental projects and programs.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and the public about environmental initiatives and their impact.
  14. Conduct site visits and inspections to assess environmental impact and compliance.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate the success of environmental programs and make recommendations for improvements.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Higher Degree In Environmental Science, Ecology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Conducting Environmental Assessments And Impact Analyses.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of State And Federal Environmental Laws, Regulations, And Policies.

  • Strong Project Management Skills, Including Experience In Leading And Coordinating Multidisciplinary Teams.

  • Excellent Written And Oral Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Present Complex Environmental Information To Diverse Stakeholders.
