You will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, while also helping them with daily tasks and activities.To be successful in this role, you must have a high level of emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You must also possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed a Psychiatric Technician Assistant training program.   1. Provide support and assistance to patients in a psychiatric facility under the supervision of a licensed Psychiatric Technician or other licensed medical professional.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by closely monitoring their behavior and reporting any concerns to the supervising medical professional.
  3. Assist patients with daily tasks and activities, such as personal hygiene, meals, and recreational activities.
  4. Build rapport and establish a trusting relationship with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and report any observations or changes in behavior to the supervising medical professional.
  6. Administer medications and treatments as directed by the supervising medical professional.
  7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
  8. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
  9. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients during difficult times.
  10. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices and policies.
  11. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the provision of patient care.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
  13. Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development to enhance job performance.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the State of California in all interactions and duties.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Training Program Or Certification In Psychiatric Technology Or Mental Health Assistant.

  • Minimum Of One Year Of Experience Working In A Mental Health Or Psychiatric Setting.
