In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of all state-owned properties, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and maximizing the value of our assets.   1. Oversee and manage the financial management of all state-owned properties, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  2. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures related to property management.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to maximize the value and return on investment of state-owned properties.
  4. Conduct regular financial analyses to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date property records.
  6. Monitor and track property expenses, including rent, utilities, maintenance, and repairs.
  7. Provide regular financial reports and updates to management and stakeholders.
  8. Serve as a subject matter expert on property management principles, laws, and regulations.
  9. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, such as vendors and contractors, to ensure efficient and cost-effective property management.
  10. Train and supervise a team of property management staff, ensuring they adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
  11. Continuously review and improve property management processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including government officials, tenants, and the general public, about property management matters.
  13. Conduct periodic audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of property management records.
  14. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to make informed decisions and recommendations.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the State of California while representing the organization in a professional manner.
