- Oversee the operations of the prison industries program in accordance with state guidelines and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to create meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities for incarcerated individuals.
- Collaborate with other prison staff to ensure the safety and security of inmates while they are participating in the program.
- Manage and supervise a team of staff members, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
- Monitor the production and quality of goods produced by inmates, ensuring they meet industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, including production, expenditures, and revenue.
- Work closely with external partners and vendors to secure contracts and partnerships for the program.
- Develop and manage the program's budget, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to the prison industries program.
- Serve as a liaison between the program and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and potential employers.
- Develop and implement training programs for inmates to enhance their skills and prepare them for employment upon release.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the program to ensure its effectiveness and success in promoting rehabilitation and reentry for incarcerated individuals.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Correctional Studies, Industrial Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Corrections, Manufacturing, Or A Related Industry, With At Least 2 Years In A Supervisory Role.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Prison Industries And Correctional Facilities.
Strong Leadership And Management Skills With The Ability To Effectively Oversee A Diverse Workforce And Maintain A Safe And Productive Work Environment.
Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Multiple Stakeholders, Including Inmates, Staff, And Outside Vendors.
