- Provide expert guidance on personnel policies and procedures for the State of California.
- Support the state's workforce by ensuring compliance with HR principles and practices.
- Communicate and collaborate with various departments and agencies to ensure consistent and effective implementation of personnel policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new personnel policies and procedures.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on HR-related issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR-related inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and files.
- Monitor and track employee performance evaluations and ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate and conduct new employee orientations and training sessions.
- Participate in recruitment and selection processes, including job postings and candidate screenings.
- Assist in the development and execution of employee retention strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with current HR laws and regulations and make recommendations for compliance.
- Collaborate with payroll and benefits departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee information.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Continuously strive to improve HR processes and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Personnel Or Human Resources Management.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Personnel Management, Such As Eeo, Fmla, And Ada.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Range Of Individuals.
Proficient In Computer Software Applications, Such As Microsoft Office And Hris Systems.
