- Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of all State of California facilities in Oakland, ensuring that they are running efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance and repair schedules for all facilities, ensuring that they are well-maintained and meet all safety standards.
- Manage the budget for facilities and business services, ensuring that all expenditures are within budget and seeking cost-saving opportunities.
- Act as a liaison between the State of California and external vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring that services are delivered in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to identify and address any issues or concerns related to facilities or business services.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for the use of facilities and business services, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community groups, and business owners, to promote a positive image of the State of California.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify any potential hazards or issues, and take appropriate action to address them.
- Supervise and train staff members responsible for facility management and business services, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and report on the performance of facilities and business services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in facility management and business services to continuously improve operations.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing any complaints or concerns and providing timely and effective solutions.
- Represent the State of California at meetings and events related to facility management and business services in the city of Oakland.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and policies related to facility management and business services.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors to support the overall goals and objectives of the State of California.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Facilities Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Facilities Management, Including Managing A Team And Overseeing Multiple Projects.
Knowledge Of California State Regulations And Policies Related To Facilities Management And Business Services.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Liaise With A Diverse Range Of Stakeholders.
Strong Leadership Abilities, Including The Ability To Make Strategic Decisions And Problem Solve In A Fast-Paced Environment.
