  1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at the State of California.
  2. Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of services to customers by managing and directing staff.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of DMV operations.
  4. Provide leadership and guidance to DMV staff to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
  5. Stay up-to-date on DMV policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and provide guidance to staff.
  6. Foster a customer-centric culture by promoting and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with other government agencies and stakeholders to ensure collaboration and effective communication.
  8. Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance DMV services and processes.
  9. Manage and allocate resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to ensure the smooth functioning of the DMV.
  10. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  11. Identify and resolve conflicts or issues that may arise within the DMV.
  12. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes for the DMV.
  13. Stay current on industry trends, technology, and best practices to continuously improve DMV operations.
  14. Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the DMV.
  15. Represent the DMV at meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Management Or Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Government Agency Or Automotive Industry.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Dmv Policies And Procedures, As Well As State And Federal Laws Related To Motor Vehicles.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Lead And Collaborate With A Diverse Team.

  • Proven Ability To Analyze Data, Make Decisions, And Implement Strategies To Improve Department Operations And Customer Service.
