- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of forest management plans and make recommendations for adjustments or improvements.

- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations involved in conservation and forestry to coordinate efforts and share resources.
- Communicate with the public and educate them on the importance of forest conservation and sustainable management practices.
- Identify and respond to potential threats to state forests, such as wildfires, invasive species, and illegal logging.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on forest management activities and outcomes.
- Continuously evaluate and improve methods and techniques used in forest management to ensure the most effective and sustainable practices are being used.
Bachelor's Degree In Forestry, Natural Resources, Or A Related Field
Knowledge Of Forestry Principles And Practices, Including Tree Identification, Forest Management, And Timber Harvesting
Ability To Use And Maintain Forestry Equipment, Such As Chainsaws, Gps Devices, And Compasses
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Diverse Groups Of People, Including Landowners, Contractors, And Government Officials
Understanding Of Environmental Regulations And Laws Related To Forestry, Including The California Environmental Quality Act (Ceqa) And The Sustainable Forest Initiative (Sfi)
