  1. Plan and coordinate exhibit events and activities to showcase the history, culture, and achievements of California.
  2. Develop and design engaging and informative exhibits that highlight the best of California's heritage.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to gather and organize materials for exhibits.
  4. Manage exhibit budgets and ensure cost-effective planning and execution.
  5. Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and other partners to secure necessary resources and services for exhibits.
  6. Conduct research on California's history, culture, and achievements to ensure accurate and relevant exhibit content.
  7. Train and supervise exhibit staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations during events.
  8. Monitor and maintain exhibit inventory and ensure proper storage and handling of artifacts.
  9. Act as a representative of the State of California during exhibit events and interact with visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve exhibit strategies to attract and engage a diverse audience.
  11. Adhere to all safety and security protocols during exhibit events.
  12. Prepare reports and presentations on exhibit activities and outcomes for management.
  13. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in exhibit planning and execution.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of the State of California while promoting the state's heritage through exhibits and events.

Job Qualifications
  • Knowledge Of Exhibit Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Exhibit Planning, Coordination, And Execution. This Includes Experience With Budgeting, Logistics, And Vendor Management.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role, As The Exhibit Representative Will Be Responsible For Liaising With Various Stakeholders, Including Event Organizers, Vendors, And Attendees. The Ability To Communicate Clearly And Professionally Is Essential.

  • Attention To Detail: Exhibits Must Be Meticulously Planned And Executed, With No Room For Error. The Exhibit Representative Should Possess Strong Attention To Detail And Be Able To Oversee All Aspects Of The Exhibit With Precision.

  • Event Planning Experience: Previous Experience In Event Planning Or Management Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Includes Experience With Coordinating Logistics, Managing Budgets, And Overseeing Vendor Contracts.

  • Flexibility And Adaptability: Events Can Be Unpredictable, And The Exhibit Representative Must Be Able To Adapt To Changing Circumstances And Handle Unexpected Challenges With Ease. This Requires A Flexible And Adaptable Mindset, As Well As The Ability To Think On Their Feet.
