Job Description

  1. Conduct research and analysis on various environmental topics and issues in order to provide recommendations and support for state environmental policies and regulations.

  3. Stay up-to-date on current environmental science trends, developments, and advancements to ensure the most accurate and relevant information is being used.
  4. Collaborate with a team of scientists, policymakers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for environmental protection and preservation.
  5. Utilize various scientific tools and techniques to assess the impact of human activities on the environment and identify potential solutions.
  6. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to communicate findings and recommendations to a diverse audience, including government officials, community members, and the general public.
  7. Stay informed of relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to environmental protection and ensure compliance in all research and analysis.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and agencies involved in environmental science and policy to foster collaboration and partnerships.
  9. Identify and propose new research projects and initiatives to address emerging environmental issues and challenges.
  10. Advocate for the importance of protecting and preserving the environment for future generations and promote sustainable practices and policies.

Job Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Environmental Science, Ecology, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience In Conducting Environmental Research And Analyzing Data.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Environmental Laws And Regulations, Particularly Those Specific To California.

  • Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Present Complex Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Experience Conducting Field Work And Proficiency In Using Equipment And Tools Commonly Used In Environmental Research, Such As Gis Software And Water Quality Testing Equipment.
