Job Description

  1. Develop and implement statewide environmental programs in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  2. Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of these programs, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
  3. Ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and standards.
  4. Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, community groups, and businesses, to promote sustainable practices and achieve environmental goals.
  5. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
  6. Stay up-to-date on emerging environmental issues and trends, and adjust programs accordingly.
  7. Provide leadership and guidance to a team of environmental professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  8. Communicate program objectives, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders and the general public through various mediums, such as reports, presentations, and public events.
  9. Develop and manage partnerships with external organizations and agencies to support program goals.
  10. Represent the state in meetings, conferences, and other forums related to environmental issues and programs.
  11. Identify and secure funding opportunities to support program initiatives.
  12. Ensure all program activities are conducted in an ethical and responsible manner.
  13. Foster a culture of sustainability and environmental stewardship within the organization.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and innovation within the program.
  15. Serve as a role model for environmental responsibility and inspire others to take action in protecting the environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Public Policy, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Environmental Program Management, Preferably In A Government Agency.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Environmental Laws And Regulations.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Diverse Stakeholders And Communicate Complex Environmental Issues.

  • Project Management Experience, Including Developing And Implementing Strategic Plans, Managing Budgets, And Overseeing Multiple Projects Simultaneously.
