- Oversee the daily operations of the community college system, including budget management, curriculum development, and student services.
- Support faculty and staff by providing guidance, resources, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure academic excellence and promote a culture of inclusivity.
- Collaborate with other administrators and stakeholders to develop and implement strategic plans for the improvement of the community college system.
- Foster relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders to enhance the learning experience and provide opportunities for students.
- Monitor and analyze data to make informed decisions and recommendations for improving the overall performance and success of the community college system.
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in higher education administration and implement innovative strategies to enhance the student experience.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
- Serve as a liaison between the community college system and external agencies, including government entities and educational partners.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to faculty and staff, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Represent the community college system at various events, conferences, and meetings to promote and advocate for the institution.
- Act as a role model and champion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the community college system.
- Handle any conflicts or issues that may arise within the community college system in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other administrators to develop and implement student success initiatives and programs.
- Participate in the recruitment and retention of students, including developing marketing and outreach strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services and make recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and staff by implementing emergency preparedness plans and protocols.
- Maintain open communication and foster positive relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the community.
- Stay informed about and advocate for legislative and policy changes that may impact the community
A Master's Degree In Higher Education Administration, Leadership, Or A Related Field.
At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role Within A Community College Setting.
Knowledge And Understanding Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Community Colleges.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Diverse Stakeholders.
Experience In Budget Management And Strategic Planning For Academic Programs And Services.
