We are currently seeking an Associate Park and Recreation Specialist to join our dynamic team. As an Associate Park and Recreation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact by promoting and coordinating various recreational programs and events, maintaining park facilities, and providing excellent customer service to our visitors.   1. Develop and implement recreational programs and events for community members of all ages and abilities.
  2. Collaborate with other team members to plan and coordinate park maintenance and improvement projects.
  3. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of park facilities and grounds.
  4. Provide excellent customer service to park visitors by answering questions, addressing concerns, and providing information about park amenities and programs.
  5. Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers and seasonal staff.
  6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, schools, and businesses.
  7. Promote park programs and events through various marketing and outreach efforts.
  8. Monitor and manage park budget and resources.
  9. Conduct research and gather data to assess the needs and interests of the community.
  10. Develop and maintain accurate records and reports related to park usage and program participation.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in park and recreation management.
  12. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies.
  13. Represent the State of California and the parks department at community events and meetings.
  14. Continuously strive to improve and enhance the park experience for all visitors.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while serving as a representative of the State of California.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Parks And Recreation Management Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Park And Recreation Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Parks And Recreation.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Community Members, Staff, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Plan, Organize, And Coordinate Events, Programs, And Activities For Diverse Populations.
