As the Administrator for the Science Program, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations and providing support to our team of scientists.   1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the State of California's Science Program.
  2. Provide support and guidance to a team of scientists in their research and projects.
  3. Ensure that all projects and initiatives within the Science Program are aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Science Program.
  5. Manage and maintain the budget for the Science Program, including tracking expenses and making recommendations for cost-saving measures.
  6. Coordinate and schedule meetings, conferences, and other events for the Science Program.
  7. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to promote and improve the scientific community in the state of California.

  9. Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making within the Science Program.
  10. Communicate updates, progress, and any issues or concerns to upper management in a timely and professional manner.
  11. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  12. Train and onboard new employees to the Science Program.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for all team members.
  14. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on advancements in the scientific field.
  15. Represent the Science Program at conferences, events, and other public forums.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Science, Education, Or Public Administration.

  • Previous Experience In Program Management, Preferably In A Scientific Or Educational Setting.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Stakeholders And Manage Relationships With External Partners.
