  1. Conduct thorough wound assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds.
  2. Administer wound care treatments, including debridement, dressing changes, and wound irrigation, according to established protocols and standards of care.
  3. Monitor and document wound healing progress, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  4. Educate patients and their families on wound care management, including proper wound care techniques, signs of infection, and prevention of future wounds.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, physical therapists, and dietitians, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  6. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
  7. Keep accurate and detailed records of patient care, including wound assessments, treatments, and education provided.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of wound care best practices, new treatment modalities, and advancements in wound care technology.
  9. Communicate regularly with patients, families, and caregivers to address any concerns or questions related to wound care.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide input on policies and procedures related to wound care.
  11. Act as a resource and mentor for other healthcare team members, sharing expertise and knowledge on wound care management.
  12. Monitor and order wound care supplies as needed, ensuring availability of necessary materials for patient care.
  13. Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures, in the provision of wound care.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  15. Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in wound care management.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License In The State Of Arizona

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Wound Care Nursing

  • Certification In Wound Care Nursing (Such As Wound Care Certified Or Certified Wound Specialist)

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Wound Care Protocols And Evidence-Based Practices
