- Install new refrigeration systems in state facilities and ensure they meet all necessary standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on refrigeration systems.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure all refrigeration systems are functioning properly.
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in refrigeration technology.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repair work.
- Communicate with facility managers and other staff to schedule maintenance and repairs in a way that minimizes disruption to operations.
- Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt and efficient repairs to minimize downtime.
- Continuously monitor and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of refrigeration systems and suggest improvements where necessary.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and represent the state of Arizona in a positive light.
- Follow all departmental policies and procedures and comply with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment needed for repairs and installations.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Refrigeration Mechanic Position At The State Of Arizona.
Relevant Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Refrigeration Mechanic In A Commercial Or Industrial Setting.
Trade Certification: A Valid Trade Certification In Refrigeration Mechanics Is Preferred, Such As A Refrigeration Mechanic Journeyman License Or Equivalent.
