  1. Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of refrigeration systems in state facilities.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot any issues with refrigeration systems and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  3. Install new refrigeration systems in state facilities and ensure they meet all necessary standards and regulations.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed on refrigeration systems.
  5. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure all refrigeration systems are functioning properly.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in refrigeration technology.
  7. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance and repair work.
  8. Communicate with facility managers and other staff to schedule maintenance and repairs in a way that minimizes disruption to operations.
  9. Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance and sharing knowledge and expertise.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  11. Respond to emergency calls and provide prompt and efficient repairs to minimize downtime.
  12. Continuously monitor and assess the efficiency and effectiveness of refrigeration systems and suggest improvements where necessary.
  13. Maintain a positive and professional attitude and represent the state of Arizona in a positive light.
  14. Follow all departmental policies and procedures and comply with all state and federal regulations.
  15. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment needed for repairs and installations.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Typically Required For A Refrigeration Mechanic Position At The State Of Arizona.

  • Relevant Experience: Candidates Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working As A Refrigeration Mechanic In A Commercial Or Industrial Setting.

  • Trade Certification: A Valid Trade Certification In Refrigeration Mechanics Is Preferred, Such As A Refrigeration Mechanic Journeyman License Or Equivalent.
