- Represent the State of Arizona and the language access program with professionalism and integrity.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Linguistics, Communication, Or Interpretation/Translation.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Public Interpreter In A Government Or Legal Setting.
Fluency In English And At Least One Other Language, Preferably Spanish, Navajo, Or American Sign Language (Asl).
Certification Or Licensure As A Professional Interpreter, Such As Through The National Association Of Judiciary Interpreters And Translators (Najit) Or The Certification Commission For Healthcare Interpreters (Cchi).
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws, Regulations, And Policies Related To Interpretation Services, As Well As Cultural And Linguistic Competency In Working With Diverse Populations.
