Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state programs and operations. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical individual who is passionate about driving continuous improvement.   1. Conduct performance audits of state programs and operations to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Analyze data and present findings and recommendations to management.
  3. Develop and implement performance metrics and measures to track program effectiveness.
  4. Collaborate with program managers and staff to identify and address issues and challenges.
  5. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
  6. Conduct research and gather information to support audit findings and recommendations.
  7. Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing audit results and recommendations.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and trends in program analysis and performance auditing.
  9. Communicate with stakeholders and provide guidance on performance improvement strategies.
  10. Participate in cross-functional teams and initiatives to promote continuous improvement across the organization.
  11. Train and mentor junior analysts on performance auditing techniques and processes.
  12. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in conducting audits and handling sensitive information.
  13. Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.
  14. Maintain accurate and organized records of audit activities and findings.
  15. Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to program analysis and performance auditing.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Program Analysis And Performance Auditing, Preferably In A Government Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Government Policies And Procedures, Including Budgeting And Financial Management.

  • Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret And Evaluate Complex Data.

  • Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Various Stakeholders And Present Findings And Recommendations To Senior Management.
