
Emergency Planning Coordinator

- Develop and maintain emergency plans and procedures for the state of Arizona.
- Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and first responders to ensure effective emergency response efforts.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities.
- Train and educate employees and stakeholders on emergency protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate emergency response plans and make necessary adjustments to improve effectiveness.
- Coordinate and facilitate emergency drills and exercises to test readiness and identify areas for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison between the state government and other agencies during times of crisis.
- Stay updated on current emergency management trends and best practices to continuously improve emergency planning efforts.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to emergency planning and response.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to develop and implement cross-functional emergency plans.
- Communicate with the public during emergency situations to provide necessary information and updates.
- Work with community leaders and stakeholders to educate and involve them in emergency preparedness efforts.
- Respond to emergency situations as needed and assist with the coordination of resources.
- Stay informed on federal and state emergency management policies and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Participate in meetings and conferences related to emergency planning and response.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Emergency Planning And Response, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Emergency Management Policies And Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Lead Multi-Agency Emergency Response Efforts.
Certification In Emergency Management, Such As Certified Emergency Manager (Cem) Or Certified Business Continuity Professional (Cbcp), Is Preferred.
