In this role, you will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing our state's healthcare policies and initiatives. As the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, you will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to ensure the delivery of high-quality healthcare services to our residents.   1. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to develop and implement healthcare policies and initiatives that align with the state's goals and objectives.
  2. Monitor and analyze healthcare data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for action.
  3. Serve as a subject matter expert on public health issues, providing guidance and expertise to other members of the team.
  4. Work closely with healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations to build partnerships and improve healthcare access and quality.
  5. Represent the state in meetings and conferences related to healthcare and public health, presenting information and advocating for the state's position.
  6. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and laws related to healthcare.
  7. Oversee the development and implementation of training and education programs for healthcare professionals and the public.
  8. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and implement emergency preparedness plans and responses.
  9. Conduct research and provide evidence-based recommendations to inform healthcare policies and initiatives.
  10. Assist the Chief Medical Officer in budget planning and resource allocation to support healthcare programs and services.
  11. Serve as a spokesperson for the state on healthcare issues, communicating with media and the public.
  12. Stay up-to-date on current healthcare trends and advancements, and make recommendations for incorporating new practices and technologies into state healthcare systems.
  13. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, including mentoring and training opportunities.
  14. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities and initiatives related to the position.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.

Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree From An Accredited University Or College

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role In The Healthcare Industry

  • Current Medical License In The State Of Arizona

  • Extensive Knowledge Of State And Federal Healthcare Laws And Regulations

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate And Build Relationships With Healthcare Professionals, Government Officials, And Community Stakeholders.
