  1. Maintain and organize the state's collection of historical and important documents.
  2. Identify and sort archival materials according to established guidelines and standards.
  3. Create and maintain accurate and detailed records of archival holdings.
  4. Digitize and preserve documents to ensure long-term accessibility.
  5. Assist with the research and retrieval of documents for internal and external requests.
  6. Monitor and maintain the environmental conditions of the archives to ensure proper preservation.
  7. Assist with the arrangement and description of archival materials.
  8. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement preservation and conservation strategies.
  9. Participate in outreach and educational activities to promote the archives and its collections.
  10. Stay updated on best practices and standards in archival management and implement them in daily tasks.
  11. Ensure the security of archival materials and follow established protocols for handling and storing sensitive materials.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to internal and external researchers and visitors.
  13. Train and supervise volunteers and interns assisting with archival tasks.
  14. Assist with the planning and execution of special projects and events related to the archives.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Archival Studies, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least One Year Of Experience Working In An Archival Setting, Preferably In A Government Agency.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Archival Principles And Practices, Including Arrangement, Description, Preservation, And Access.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Records Management Systems And Digital Preservation Techniques.

  • Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Independently And Collaboratively With A Team.
