  1. Monitor and analyze federal legislation and regulations that may impact State Farm and its industry.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry groups, and advocacy organizations.
  3. Stay informed on current political and policy trends and assess potential impacts on the company.
  4. Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership on federal affairs and advocacy strategies.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to identify potential risks and opportunities related to federal policy and legislation.
  6. Develop and implement advocacy plans to advance State Farm's interests at the federal level.
  7. Prepare written materials, such as position papers and briefing documents, to effectively communicate State Farm's position on legislative and regulatory issues.
  8. Represent State Farm in meetings, hearings, and other events with federal policymakers and stakeholders.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and incorporate them into federal affairs strategies.
  10. Build and maintain relationships with external experts and consultants to enhance the company's knowledge and understanding of federal policy and legislation.
  11. Ensure compliance with all federal lobbying and reporting requirements.
  12. Keep accurate records and reports of all advocacy efforts and outcomes.
  13. Continuously evaluate and adjust advocacy strategies to effectively respond to changing political and policy landscapes.
  14. Collaborate with internal teams to promote diversity, inclusion, and innovation in all aspects of the company's federal affairs work.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, providing support, and promoting a culture of excellence.

Job Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (Jd) Degree From An Accredited Law School.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Federal Government Affairs, Preferably In The Insurance Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Federal Laws And Regulations Related To The Insurance Industry.

  • Proven Track Record Of Advocating For Legislative And Regulatory Policies That Align With The Company's Interests.

  • Strong Communication And Networking Skills To Effectively Represent The Company's Interests To Government Officials And Stakeholders.
