Design and develop software solutions using Gosu, Guidewire, and Java technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing software systems.
Maintain and update existing software applications to ensure optimal performance.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in software engineering.
Continuously learn and improve skills in Gosu, Guidewire, and Java.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Work with project managers and other team members to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Follow best practices and coding standards to maintain high-quality code.
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure software meets functional requirements and quality standards.
Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members.
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and workflows.
Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding software development and security.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or A Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Computer Science Is Essential For A Software Engineer, Particularly In Areas Such As Algorithms, Data Structures, And Programming Languages.
Proficiency In Gosu, Guidewire, And Java: State Farm Requires Proficiency In These Specific Programming Languages For This Role. Candidates Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Their Syntax And Features, As Well As Experience Working On Projects Using These Languages.
