- Provide legal counsel and support to the corporate governance and compliance functions of State Farm.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to advise on corporate governance matters.
- Review and draft corporate policies, charters, and other documents related to corporate governance.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of corporate filings and reports.
- Advise on disclosure requirements and assist with the preparation of disclosure documents.
- Monitor changes in regulations and laws affecting corporate governance and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure corporate governance practices are in line with company values and objectives.
- Provide legal advice and support on various corporate transactions and initiatives.
- Participate in the development and implementation of corporate governance training for employees.
- Work closely with the Office of the Corporate Secretary to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of corporate compliance programs.
- Conduct internal investigations and provide legal guidance on compliance-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal activities and documents.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Represent State Farm in legal proceedings related to corporate governance and compliance matters.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working relationship with colleagues and other departments within the company.
- Promote a culture of integrity, innovation, and community involvement within the company.
- Uphold the values and mission of State Farm in all interactions and decisions.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Corporate Law, Preferably In A Large Corporation Or Law Firm Setting
Strong Knowledge Of Corporate Governance And Compliance Regulations
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams
Detail-Oriented With Strong Organizational And Analytical Skills, Able To Manage Multiple Projects And Deadlines Simultaneously
