  1. Conduct on-site inspections of property damage caused by various events such as natural disasters, accidents, or theft.
  2. Assess the extent of losses and damages to determine coverage for our policyholders.
  3. Communicate with policyholders, agents, and vendors to gather necessary information and documentation for claim processing.
  4. Document all findings and observations accurately and thoroughly in accordance with company guidelines.
  5. Utilize internal and industry-specific software to generate reports and estimate repair costs.
  6. Make coverage and liability decisions based on policy provisions, state regulations, and company guidelines.
  7. Negotiate and settle claims in a fair and timely manner, while keeping in mind the best interest of the company and our customers.
  8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve complex claims and provide exceptional customer service.
  9. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, changes in regulations, and company policies to ensure compliance and accuracy in claim handling.
  10. Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy when communicating with customers who may be experiencing a difficult situation.
  11. Meet and exceed individual and team performance goals.
  12. Contribute to the continuous improvement of claim processes and procedures.
  13. Act as a brand ambassador for State Farm and uphold our commitment to providing exceptional insurance and financial services.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Knowledge Of Property Insurance Policies And Coverage: A Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection Must Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of State Farm's Property Insurance Policies And Coverage Options In Order To Accurately Assess Claims And Make Appropriate Recommendations.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Interaction With Policyholders, Contractors, And Other Stakeholders. A Claim Specialist Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Information And Build Strong Relationships With All Parties Involved.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills: Property Inspections Often Involve Assessing Damage And Estimating Repair Costs. A Qualified Candidate Must Have Strong Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills To Accurately Evaluate The Extent Of Damage And Determine Appropriate Compensation.

  • Experience In Property Inspections And/Or Construction: Previous Experience In Property Inspections, Construction, Or A Related Field Is Highly Desired For This Role. This Experience Will Provide A Strong Foundation For Assessing Property Damage And Understanding Repair Processes.

  • Ability To Work Independently And Manage A Heavy Workload: Claim Specialists Often Work Remotely And Are Responsible For Managing A High Volume Of Claims. The Ability To Work Independently, Prioritize Tasks, And Meet Deadlines Is Crucial For Success In This Role.
