In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Baristas and ensuring that our store operates smoothly during your shift. - Oversee the daily operations of the Starbucks store during assigned shifts.
- Lead and manage a team of Baristas, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
- Ensure that all team members are following Starbucks standards and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Create a warm and welcoming environment for customers by maintaining a clean and organized store.
- Train new team members on Starbucks policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure the store is well-stocked.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain and update cash registers and handle any cash or card transactions during the shift.
- Collaborate with other Shift Supervisors and store managers to ensure consistency in operations and customer service.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Assist in creating work schedules for team members and approve time-off requests.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate team performance, providing feedback and coaching when necessary.
- Uphold Starbucks' brand values and standards at all times.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
- Attend trainings and meetings as required to stay updated on company policies and new products.
Previous Experience In A Supervisory Role: A Shift Supervisor At Starbucks Should Have Prior Experience In A Leadership Or Supervisory Role, Preferably In A Customer Service Or Food And Beverage Setting. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Manage A Team And Handle Operational Tasks Effectively.
Knowledge Of Starbucks Operations And Standards: A Successful Shift Supervisor Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Starbucks' Products, Processes, And Standards. This Includes Knowledge Of Drink Recipes, Food Offerings, And Store Policies And Procedures.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Shift Supervisor, One Will Need To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Customers, And Upper Management. This Requires Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Build Positive Relationships With Others.
Flexibility And Adaptability: The Ability To Quickly Adapt To Changing Situations And Handle Unexpected Challenges Is Crucial For A Shift Supervisor At Starbucks. This Role Requires Working In A Fast-Paced Environment And Being Able To Adjust To Various Tasks And Responsibilities.
Leadership And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Shift Supervisor Should Be A Natural Leader Who Can Motivate And Guide Their Team To Achieve Goals And Provide Excellent Customer Service. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Handle Any Issues That May Arise During Their Shift.
