  1. Lead and manage a team of baristas to ensure a smooth operation of the store.
  2. Train and develop team members on Starbucks standards, policies, and procedures.
  3. Create and maintain a positive and welcoming work environment for team members.
  4. Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times.
  5. Monitor and maintain the quality of products and service standards.
  6. Oversee the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures.
  7. Handle customer complaints and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Manage inventory and stock levels to ensure products are available for customers.
  9. Schedule and coordinate shifts for team members to ensure adequate coverage.
  10. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
  11. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  12. Collaborate with the store manager to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  13. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and innovate processes and procedures.
  14. Act as a role model for the team by demonstrating excellent customer service and product knowledge.
  15. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Supervisory Experience: The Ideal Candidate For A Shift Supervisor Position At Starbucks Should Have Prior Experience In A Supervisory Role, Preferably In The Food And Beverage Industry. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Effectively.

  • Strong Communication Skills: A Shift Supervisor Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Both Team Members And Customers. This Includes Providing Clear Instructions, Resolving Conflicts, And Maintaining A Positive And Professional Attitude.

  • Knowledge Of Coffee And Starbucks Products: As A Leader In A Coffee-Focused Company, A Shift Supervisor Should Have A Strong Knowledge Of Coffee And Other Starbucks Products. This Includes Knowing How To Make Drinks, Understanding Menu Items, And Being Able To Answer Customer Questions.

  • Ability To Multitask And Handle Pressure: A Busy Starbucks Location Can Be Fast-Paced And High-Pressure, Especially During Peak Hours. A Shift Supervisor Should Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks At Once, Prioritize Effectively, And Remain Calm Under Pressure.

  • Customer Service Skills: Starbucks Places A Strong Emphasis On Providing Excellent Customer Service. A Shift Supervisor Should Have A Friendly And Approachable Demeanor, Be Able To Handle Customer Complaints And Concerns, And Strive To Create A Positive And Welcoming Atmosphere For All Customers.
