- Manage and maintain the accuracy of the payroll tax system for Starbucks, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of the payroll tax system to identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain process improvements for the payroll tax system.
- Continuously monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure the payroll tax system remains updated and compliant.
- Analyze data and prepare reports to support decision-making and ensure accuracy of tax filings.
- Work closely with the Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll tax-related transactions.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support to internal and external stakeholders regarding payroll tax matters.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of all required payroll tax returns and payments.
- Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to payroll tax calculations.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive employee information.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to payroll tax systems and make recommendations for improvement.
- Provide training and support to team members on payroll tax processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with external vendors and tax authorities as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Payroll Manager.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Payroll Tax Analysis, Preferably In A Multi-State Environment
Strong Understanding Of Federal And State Payroll Tax Laws And Regulations
Proficiency In Payroll Tax Software And Systems, Such As Adp Or Workday
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With Attention To Detail And Accuracy.
