
Director – Governance, Risk, Compliance
Defines, communicates and garners support for GRC’s vision and roadmaps for Starbucks Technology partinering with internal technical and business stakeholders. Leads and develops long-term technology strategy for Starbucks integrated risk management and controls platform. Develops and manages multi-year and annual goals, objectives and budgets for implementation, sustainment and support; delivers quick wins, celebrates successes and learns from challenges. Leads the system-wide global compliance and data governance programs ensuring technology activities, processes, and procedures meet defined requirements, policies and regulations. Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the GRC team promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results. Attracts, develops and retains diverse talent and builds a leadership pipeline within the team.
10+ years of progressive industry experience in Information Risk Management, IT Governance, IT Compliance, Data Privacy
5+ years in leading regulatory or legal compliance programs tied to PCI, SOX, GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA or equivalent area
8-10 years of proven experience building, developing and leading high performing teams
Ability to work collaboratively across diverse organizations and lead complex internal and external project teams
