- Develop and implement data privacy and security policies and procedures for the company, in compliance with global regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all data privacy and security matters within the organization.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with data protection laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and support on data privacy and security-related issues.
- Stay up-to-date with new and evolving data privacy and security laws and regulations, and advise the company on any necessary changes or actions.
- Respond to and manage any data breaches or security incidents, including conducting investigations and reporting to relevant authorities.
- Review and negotiate data privacy and security provisions in contracts with third-party vendors and partners.
- Provide training and education to employees on data privacy and security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with external legal counsel on data privacy and security matters, as needed.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings related to data privacy and security.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all data privacy and security activities and incidents.
- Continuously monitor and assess the company's data privacy and security practices, and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
Juris Doctor (J.d.) Degree From An Accredited Law School.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Practicing Law, With A Focus On Data Privacy And Security.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Global Data Privacy And Security Laws And Regulations, Including Gdpr And Ccpa.
Experience Advising Multinational Corporations On Data Privacy And Security Matters.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams And Effectively Communicate Complex Legal Concepts To Non-Legal Stakeholders.
