Research Computing Systems Specialist

We at Stanford University are looking for a talented Research Computing Systems Specialist to join our team. As a Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation and management of research computing systems to support the research needs of faculty, staff and students. You will be expected to provide technical expertise in the areas of system administration, research computing, storage, and system automation.The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent, with at least two years of experience in research computing systems administration. In addition, you should be familiar with multiple operating systems, scripting and automation tools, and have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. You should be comfortable working in a team environment and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
