Job Description

The Stanford University Libraries seek a collaborative, creative, and service-oriented librarian to join our team as Japanese Studies Librarian. The successful candidate will be a demonstrated leader with a passion for providing top-notch library services to our diverse community.We require a Masters’ degree from an accredited library or information science program and a minimum of three years of experience in an academic library setting. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in Japanese language, literature, and culture, as well as experience in collection development, instruction, and outreach. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative librarian to develop and lead a Japanese Studies program at a renowned university.
