
Digital Archivist

- Develop and implement digital preservation strategies to ensure the long-term accessibility and usability of the university's digital assets.
- Create and maintain an organized and searchable digital archive system for the university's digital content.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify and acquire important digital assets for the university's archive.
- Evaluate and select appropriate software and tools for digital preservation and archival purposes.
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure the integrity and authenticity of the digital archive.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for managing and preserving digital assets in compliance with industry standards.
- Provide training and support to university staff on best practices for digital preservation and archival processes.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in digital preservation to continuously improve the university's archive.
- Manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines related to digital preservation and archiving.
- Collaborate with external organizations and institutions to share and exchange digital assets for research and educational purposes.
Master's Degree In Library And Information Science, Archival Studies, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In A Digital Archives Or Special Collections Environment.
Strong Understanding Of Archival Principles, Practices, And Standards, Including Digital Preservation And Access.
Experience With Digital Curation Tools And Platforms, Such As Preservica Or Archivematica.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders And Manage Complex Projects.
