Building Automation Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Building Automation Systems Engineer to join the Facilities Engineering department at Stanford University. You will be part of a team responsible for providing technical solutions for building automation systems, ensuring that all systems and equipment are functioning properly and in compliance with applicable codes. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, as well as at least seven years of experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of building automation systems. You must also have a working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as experience with computer control systems, such as Direct Digital Controls (DDC), programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and building automation networks.The successful candidate must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and in a team setting. You must also be able to take initiative and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. The ability to think critically and solve complex problems is essential.
