
Associate Vice President, HR Community
We are looking for an exceptional, forward-thinking individual to join the Human Resources team at Stanford University as Associate Vice President (AVP) of HR Community. The AVP will be the champion of Stanford’s culture and will lead the HR Community in hiring, developing, and retaining the University’s diverse faculty, staff, and student population. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the complexities of higher education, a commitment to Stanford’s values, and a commitment to developing a culture of inclusion and excellence.The AVP will provide leadership and strategic direction to the HR Community and will be responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs and policies related to talent acquisition, talent management, HR operations, and employee engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced leader to have a direct, positive impact on Stanford’s HR operations.The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a higher education environment. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of developing, leading, and executing HR initiatives and programs, a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of human resources, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a commitment to Stanford’s core values and a passion for creating a culture of inclusion and excellence.
