- Process financial aid applications and determine eligibility for various forms of financial aid, including grants, scholarships, loans, and work-study programs.
- Provide guidance and support to students and their families in navigating the financial aid process, including explaining requirements, deadlines, and options available.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial aid applications, awards, and disbursements.
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure timely and accurate processing of financial aid.
- Stay informed about changes in financial aid regulations and policies, and communicate any updates or changes to students and staff.
- Assist students in creating and managing a budget to cover their educational expenses.
- Conduct financial aid presentations and workshops to educate students and families about the financial aid process.
- Work closely with student accounts and billing offices to resolve any issues related to financial aid.
- Provide excellent customer service to students and families by responding to inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of student information and follow all privacy laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure a smooth transition for students from the enrollment process to financial aid.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current on financial aid policies and procedures.
- Support the university's mission and values by promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity in all aspects of the financial aid process.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid or other university leadership.
Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Accounting, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Financial Aid Regulations And Procedures.
Experience Working In A College Or University Financial Aid Office.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Students And Their Families.
Ability To Analyze Financial Information And Make Decisions Based On Financial Need And Available Resources.
